To write the NEET exams, the student must have passed the higher secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the core subjects from a recognized board of education. The student must also have completed 17 years of age. There are no limits for the number of attempts to get eligible in the NEET exam.
MBBS Admission Process
After releasing the NEET results the Medical Counselling Committee(MCC) will release the cut-off list with respect to the category. The minimum score and the last rank needed to get an MBBS or any other medical related course admission. There are about 60,000 MBBS seats in India. For these seats, about 5 lakhs students compete every year.
The students must register for the NEET counselling process. A merit list is published based on the category and the marks at the beginning of each round of the counselling process. At the end of each counselling session the seat allotment is done with respect to the performance in the exams and the preference of the candidate.
After getting enrolled in a college the admission is confirmed after the candidate pays the admission fee and locks the seat.
Become a Doctor in India with Study Abroad Options
Students often choose to study MBBS in abroad if they do not have the eligible cutoff. Some students choose abroad if they could not get a government college seat in India. If the student couldn’t get a government college seat studying MBBS in abroad is a good option.
MBBS in abroad could be different according to the country the student chooses.
In some countries their MBBS program is known as MD (Doctor of Medicine) program. These two programs are equivalent and also recognized by MCI (Medical Council of India).

Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE)
If a student completes his/her course abroad and wants to practice medicine in India then the student must clear the FMGE exam in India. After completing FMGE and getting a pass mark the student must apply for an internship at a National Medical Commission (NMC) recognized hospital for a period of 1 year. NEET PG Eligibility
The graduates who have completed their MBBS degree and want to do MD or MS must pass the NEET PG exam. Candidates must have a valid MBBS degree or a provisional pass certificate. Registration with the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council is necessary and a document proof should be provided at the time of counselling confirming their registration. Degree from unorganized colleges are also not allowed. Candidates with incomplete internships are not eligible for the exam.
