The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) founded in 1975 is a highly recognized university in the Philippines. It has 3 major campuses in Las Pinas, Molino, and Calamba. Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Philippines granted AUTONOMOUS STATUS to University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, Manila, Philippines. It is a co-educational institution with over 20,000 students complemented by more than 1000 faculty and support staff.

Our Chairman of the board Dr.Antonio L. Tamayo holds a Masters degree in Hospital Administration from George Washington University and a Ph.D in Organizational Development. Vice Chairman Dr.Daisy Moran Tamayo, Masters in Nursing from New York University, USA & Ph.D in Organization Development.

    The Department of Laboratory Medicine is internationally recognized as a center for clinical and basic science
    research. The UPHSD is one of the medical colleges in the Philippines to set up a simulated laboratory for clinical
    teaching and training. Students can understand their clinical practices more easily
    through these modernized laboratories.

    Clinical clerkship are the final phases of the medical program in which medical students or future doctors get an opportunity to visit hospitals, learn medicine practically through working in hospitals, dealing with patients, providing patient care and treatment under the supervision of a health practitioner.

    In the first year, Class lectures are delivered mostly through computers using LCD projectors complemented by slide/ film showing, laboratory work and group discussions.     The third year involves didactic lectures on common diseases encountered in clinical practice as well as interesting or rare conditions. Pathophysiology is reviewed while clinical features, diagnostic approaches and principles of management are emphasized.

    The fourth year or clinical clerkship is mainly spent in actual patient care with the University Medical Center serving as the clinical laboratory. Hospital rounds and group discussions give the student a good perspective on bedside manners, diagnosis and management. The clerks rotate through the different clinical departments for 48 weeks with periodic evaluation.


    Students with 10+2 years of education with a science background should first enroll in Pre-Medicine (AB Psycholoy) course for 1 Year 4 Months (3 Semesters). After completion of Pre-Medicine program, they will be enrolled in 4 year medical program.

    The four-year medical course generally progresses from the study of the normal to the abnormal human being. Most of the subjects are yearly courses which are taken up for two semesters.

    Answer: Yes, there is hostel available inside University of Perpetual Help Medical College campus. We have a private facility inside the campus which provide accommodation and food services. Indian students have no stress of finding separate accommodation and food when they choose our services

    Question: How many beds does Perpetual Medical Center has?

    Answer: The hospital inside the university campus has 400 beds and hospital in Binan has 650 beds. In campus hospital helps the students with more medical exposure. As the campus is present in a very populated area the patient population is also high.  

    Question: What is the teaching methodology of University of Perpetual Help?

    Answer: Perpetual medical college follows Dale’s cone of learning. Student learn by giving presentations, demonstrations. In fact semester exams are conducted in MCQ pattern. The Philippines also follows western education pattern because it was once a colony of the United States of America.

    Answer: Yes. You can write NEET PG exams after passing FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination). This exam is conducted by MCI currently known as NMC. We also provide FMGE exam coaching to students studying exclusively though our consultancy.
